Consider strategies to improve your work abilities

These strategies may include:

  • managing fatigue, learning to conserve energy and getting better sleep
  • stress management
  • doing regular exercise
  • practicing meditation, relaxation, deep breathing, yoga
  • learning assertiveness and negotiation skills
  • obtaining cognitive (thinking) behavioural training, working on distress tolerance, self-esteem and emotional resiliency
  • improving memory and learning
  • accessing rehabilitation and counselling support
