The type and severity of visual loss may affect your ability to perform your work responsibilities. Also, there are legal requirements regarding vision that could affect your ability to drive.
What you can do
Your healthcare team can advise you regarding the prognosis for recovery of your visual loss as well as advice for improving your function as much as possible. Ask about the advisability of driving. Another important resource is the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) for help with living with a visual impairment through support services.
