Job Accommodation Network

Employees who have been diagnosed with cancer may also have other disabilities that may impact their ability to work. The Job Accommodation Network (developed by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy, in collaboration with West Virginia University and private industry) provides extensive information on accommodation. Its website,, includes ideas for:

  • accommodating various disabilities and illnesses, including cancer
  • adaptive technology and aids
  • a place to ask questions about job accommodations
  • other information on job accommodation

Note that the information on accommodation law supplied by applies only to the United States, not Canada.
